Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how PixlCam ("the app") and our website at pixlcam.com handle information when you use them.

PixlCam is designed to function as a local dashcam application. The app does not collect or transmit recorded video, audio, or location data for analytics, advertising, or profiling purposes.

PixlCam is a mobile application wholly owned and operated by CM Interactive Limited, a limited liability company registered in England and Wales with Companies House (company number: 15392983).

This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Information We Do Not Collect

PixlCam does not collect, store, or process:

All video recordings are stored locally on the user's device and remain under the user's control.

Newsletter and Email Communications

We operate an optional email newsletter to keep subscribers informed about PixlCam updates, new features, and the development of PixlCam for iPhone.

What we collect

When you subscribe to the PixlCam newsletter, we collect your email address. Your first name may be used to personalise communications, this is handled automatically by our email platform and is not stored directly by PixlCam.

How we use it

Your email address is used solely to send you PixlCam news and updates. We will never use it for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone outside of the services described in this policy.

Legal basis

We process your email address on the basis of your freely given consent. You confirm this consent by completing the double opt-in confirmation step when you subscribe.

Third-party processor - Brevo

We use Brevo (operated by Sendinblue SAS) as our email marketing platform. Your email address is transferred to and stored by Brevo for the purpose of sending newsletter communications on our behalf. Brevo processes this data in accordance with their own Privacy Policy.

Your rights

You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every email, or by contacting us at support@pixlcam.com. Upon unsubscribing, your email address will be removed from our active mailing list.

Crash and Diagnostics Data

PixlCam may collect anonymised crash and diagnostics data to help identify and fix technical issues. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.

Data Retention

PixlCam does not intentionally retain personal data from the app itself.

Crash and diagnostics data processed via Firebase Crashlytics is retained in accordance with Google's retention policies and is not accessible in a way that allows us to identify individual users.

Newsletter subscriber data (email address) is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. To request removal of your data, contact us at support@pixlcam.com.

Children's Privacy

PixlCam is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. The app and website do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app or website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
